The Ridgeway near Frodsham is home to a non profit sanctuary for 19 rescued horses and ponies. Volunteers run the charity and income is solely from donations and fundraising and food costs are very costly. If you can help, please make contact.
Interaction with the ponies helps children, young people and adults living with physical and learning disabilities, stress and anxiety with parties and pamper sessions. Every Friday there is a session for people over 55 who can have a cuppa and biscuits and sit with the ponies, all for £5.00. There will be an Easter event, predominantly for children on Saturday 12th April. This is a beautiful and caring place to visit to see the wonderful rehabilitation work for ponies and people taking place.
