Opened in 2022, Holly Green has recently bought the business from her mum. Holly previously worked with her father at Perfect Floors and Interiors. Following the birth of her second daughter, she wanted a new challenge and this seemed the perfect opportunity.
Local mum Andrea opened her shop door on 12th September 2024. She saw there was a gap in the market for a ladies clothes outlet and as her 2 children were older, decided to grasp the opportunity. She says she wants customers to feel comfortable with a “no pressure to buy” approach, and offers returns or exchanges within 7 days.
After former Head Student Grace Wheeler completed her Level 3 studies in Sixth Form in 2023, she embarked on an exciting 2 year Sports Journalism Apprenticeship and Gold Standard Diploma with BBC Sport. She has recently been shortlisted for an NCTJ Award of Excellence for Equality, Inclusion and Diversity for her impressive video story on Women’s Rugby.
The Ridgeway near Frodsham is home to a non profit sanctuary for 19 rescued horses and ponies. Volunteers run the charity and income is solely from donations and fundraising and food costs are very costly. If you can help, please make contact.
The school has recently been awarded a Gold certification for their work in Religious Education. This will be the third time of receiving the highest level of a national accreditation in the subject. RE lead Naomi Anstice explains “As a community school, we provide our pupils with an inclusive world view approach to learning about religion in the world around them, which is essential to their growth as a citizen in modern day Britain. As well as learning about beliefs and practices, they also learn to question; to analyse and to consider their own personal influences and world view. Through our RE lessons we also teach empathy, respect, diversity and anti-racism”.
